As the Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the production of our fashion collections.
You will ensure that all production activities are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Your expertise in the fashion industry will be essential in managing relationships with vendors, optimizing production workflows, and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring alignment with design and marketing timelines. Coordinate with design and merchandising teams to forecast production needs and manage capacity.
Vendor Management: Source and negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers, establishing strong relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and production services. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues that arise.
Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure all products meet the brand's quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any quality concerns.
Cost Management: Develop and manage production budgets, tracking costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. Analyze production data to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the production team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance. Foster a collaborative environment and address any team-related issues.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine production processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality. Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements to implement best practices.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any production-related issues or delays promptly, working closely with internal teams and external partners to find effective solutions.
Inventory management: Overseeing and monitoring stock levels to ensure the availability of products while minimizing excess.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in apparel production management within the fashion industry. Proven track record of managing production processes from conception to completion
Skills: Strong understanding of fashion production processes, including sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Proficiency in production management software and tools.
Communication: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, team members, and other stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and quality, with the ability to maintain high standards throughout the production process.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Salary
N150,000 - N300,000 Monthly.
