Job Title: Nigeria Impact Innovations Coordinator
Location: Minna, Niger
Job Description
The Innovations Coordinator will work with the Nigeria Innovations team to oversee field research trials. You will manage a team of Trial Officers/Assistants and coordinate all field implementation of product trials. These trials are often conducted in collaboration with farmers in their fields across all regions of One Acre Fund operation, encompassing Niger, Kwara and Nasarawa State.
You will ensure an up-to-date collation of good quality field data which would be used for creating reports that informs strategic decisions on product offerings that will be recommended to farmers. The quality of data produced will help decide what is offered to farmers at scale through the One Acre Fund program.
Your role requires at least 50% time observing and supervising field activities/farmers with the remaining time spent cleaning and collating data, planning, calendaring, coordinating with other departments, reviewing materials, facilitating training sessions, and managing a team of field-facing staff in a growing team.
You will report to the Innovations Lead.
Responsibilities
Support in field trial planning, design and coordination across all agro ecological zones of One Acre Fund’s operation which include trial farmers selection, enrolment, training and input delivery.
Manage field trials, tracking trial KPIs for monitoring and reporting by specified deadline
Assess risks and constraints to trial execution and success and report same while providing recommendations on mitigation strategies
Support periodic performance reviews of Innovations Officers/Assistant
Hold regular check-ins with direct reports (Innovations Officers/Assistants)
Be available and prepared to work during the December/January holidays, and other National and Religious holidays, as the work necessitates

Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in any field of Agriculture, Development/ Gender Studies, Rural Livelihood or any relevant field
Professional experience with data management, proficiency in G Suites or Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), STATA, R or any other relevant statistical software is required
Working knowledge of ODK, CommCare, or similar survey software.
2 years of practicalexperience working on Agricultural Research, Youth and Gender Programs is required
Fluency in English language and any other local language
Willingness to live and work in rural areas close to our farmers.
