Job Title: Clinical Services Officer, TBHIV
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will serve as the TB /HIV POC and supervise the TB cascade management and support the initiation and enhancement of TB/HIV integration services in the state.
He / she is to provide technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organization clinicians and provide oversight to implement TB/HIV integration, and work in close collaboration with the Satellite Commands, critical stakeholders and the National and State Clinical Mentors.
Develop and refine materials that will facilitate TB-HIV integration and ensure capacity building of service providers at DOTS sites on HIV counseling and testing and optimization of the TBHIV cascade.
Optimize the use of TB screening and diagnostic tools for children and pregnant women, and facilitation of TB/HIV pediatric care and treatment services.
Furthermore, he/she will work with the state/facility teams to establish and implement the minimum package of Infection Prevention and Control and provide support to the statute Tuberculosis program state for Community TB and community TB contact tracing, TB in special cases –pediatrics, pregnancy and KP and TB prevention (TB BASICS). TB /HIV Case management, intensified case finding and IPT and TB Quality improvement.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Public Health or a related field; or a master’s or equivalent in public health or related fields will be an added advantage.
At least 5 years’ post-NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support functions.
Knowledge of the policies, regulations, reporting formats, and cultures of principal donors, including USAID, CDC/PEPFAR, and others • Extensive clinical experience in the care and treatment of HIV/AIDS patients.
Demonstrated experience in the non-profit sector in a program management role
Strong supervisory and management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action. • Good written and oral communication skills
Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills
Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally
Ability to demonstrate independent judgment and knowledge of regulatory agency standards.
