Job Title: Clinical Services Associate - AP3
Location: Etiosa, Lagos
Grant duration: Subject to availability of funds and exceptional grant performance
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for efficient implementation and monitoring of core programmatic strategies for AP3 activities across the spectrum of Peds/Adolescents, PMTCT, and OVC at state, command and facility level.
He/she will support the provision of care and treatment to children aged 0 -14 years by direct service provision where required, in order to strengthen systems and build the capacity of frontline HCWs.
Ensure the prompt facility and community-based identification, linkage to treatment and enrolment into OVC care for all children aged 0-14.
The staff will provide leadership on cPMTCT/AP3 interventions, and technical support in developing and implementing AP3 strategies for the Lagos state team, and support for strengthening linkages between sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health services, and HIV/AIDS programs.
Provision of technical expertise for antiretroviral prophylaxis implementation for Infants Exposed to HIV and support cPMTCT scale up.
This role will require close collaboration with all members of the HTS/Prevention, PMTCT and OVC units as part of AP3, facilitating novel approaches to optimizing the 95-95-95 goals.
The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the unit including but not limited to data analysis, tracking implementation of key activities and ensuring the judicious use of available resources.
Qualification and Experience
Degree in Medicine, Public health or related field
3 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function will be an added benefit.
Excellent grasp of emerging clinical issues and current literature for accelerating progress in Pediatrics and PMTCT, with complementary understanding of OVC implementation.
Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills including the ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
Computer Literacy in Microsoft office applications specifically in outlook, word and PowerPoint, excel and virtual conferencing software.
Analytical Thinking & Conceptualization
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgments in a timely fashion.
Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong presentation skills.
