Job Title: Receivable Accountant

Job Description
The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements, preparing financial statements, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
Prepare and verify daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Monitor actual versus budgeted expenses and revenues, providing variance analysis.
Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing and payment disbursement.
Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of payments.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and implement necessary changes.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as required.
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
Oversee the management of inventory, ensuring accurate reporting and valuation.
Utilize financial software for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and other accounting functions.
Ensure the financial software is up-to-date and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Prepare and submit regular financial reports to regulatory bodies as required.
Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making.
Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial experts.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting.
Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and integrity in financial management.
