The Head of Sales will be responsible for driving the overall sales strategy, managing key accounts, and leading a high-performing sales team to achieve business objectives. The role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can deliver results in a fast-paced FMCG environment. The Head of Sales will play a critical role in expanding market share, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the company's goals.
Identify market trends, opportunities, and threats, and devise action plans accordingly.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional campaigns.
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the team.
Market Expansion and Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and stakeholders.
Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and business partners.
Sales Operations and Performance Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Analyze sales performance data and KPIs to make informed decisions and adjustments.
Ensure efficient and effective sales processes, from lead generation to closing deals.
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and clients.
Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
Implement customer feedback systems to continuously improve the customer experience.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Production, Logistics) to ensure seamless operations and alignment with sales objectives.
Participate in executive meetings and contribute to overall business strategy.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.
Monitor competitors’ activities and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Promote a culture of integrity and transparency within the sales team.
Key Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in sales management, with at least years in a senior leadership role within the FMCG industry.
