Job Description
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the company’s production, logistics and supply chain processes.
Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, while maintaining high quality standards and meeting customer demands.
You will be leading a team of employees and collaborating with various departments to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Operational Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to improve overall operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Collaborate with senior management to implementoperational goals and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for the company.
Analyze market trends, customer demands, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction.
Production and Manufacturing Management:
Oversee the production and manufacturing processes, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
Optimize production schedules, capacity planning, and resource allocation to meet customer orders and minimize production downtime.
Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Supply Chain Management:
Manage the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
Develop and implement inventory control systems to minimize stockouts, reduce inventory holding costs, and optimize inventory turnover.
Monitor transportation and logistics activities to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effective distribution of finished goods.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and supervise a team of employees, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the operations department.
Identify training and development needs of team members and provide necessary support and resources for their growth.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement and enforce quality assurance standards and procedures to ensure products meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
Monitor and evaluate product quality through regular inspections, audits, and testing.
Address any quality issues or customer complaints promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Health and Safety:
Promote and maintain a safe working environment by complying with health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, addressing any hazards or potential risks promptly.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 5 - 10 years experience.
Candidate must be versatile and have the ability to multi-task.
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 monthly.
