Job Description
The Freight Forwarding Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business and managing relationships with clients who require logistics services.
This role involves identifying potential customers, presenting the company’s freight forwarding solutions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through seamless delivery of services.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight forwarding industry.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients to secure long-term business.
Conduct market research to identify new leads and potential new markets.
Create and deliver presentations on freight forwarding services to prospective clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Ensure clients are informed about the status of their shipments and address any concerns or issues that arise.
Provide excellent after-sales support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Quotations & Negotiations:
Prepare and provide accurate and competitive pricing quotations to clients.
Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts with clients and suppliers.
Close sales deals while ensuring that the company's profitability targets are met.
Coordination with Operations:
Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of freight forwarding services.
Coordinate with shipping lines, airlines, and other logistics providers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Ensure that all documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
Prepare regular sales reports for management, detailing progress towards sales targets.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing strategies, and competitor activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
At least 5-8years of sales experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including air, sea, and road transportation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to meet sales targets and close deals.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
