As a Noiler Farmers Satisfaction Representative, you are expected to recruit rural women as Mother Units (MUs)farmers who raise Noilers intensively for a period of 5 weeks, after which they will sell them to Small Holder Farmers (SHFs) who buy in smaller quantities.
You will train potential mother units or prospects who are interested in becoming MUs, ensuring they have the necessary facilities and basic knowledge of brooding.
Additionally, you will generate SHFs, with a preference for women, to off-take Noiler birds from Mother Units.
You will also act as an Extension Agent and Enumerator to capture farmer information using the Usomi app and implement the approved Noiler Farmer Satisfaction Plan as directed by the AFSR and Management.
Responsibilities
Monitor and manage MUs and SHFs through regular visits to weigh birds and gather information on feed intake, drugs, and vaccines, ensuring that the MU is engaging in best brooding practices, with a focus on weight gained and mortality records.
Organize MU training and provide technical support to SHFs as needed.
Write regular daily, weekly, and monthly reports in line with established templates and any other reports that may be required from time to time.
Sustain existing MUs and SHFs while generating new ones, consistent with the goals of the Noiler Business Model and the company's broader objectives.
Adhere to and enforce discipline, and compliance with rules, ethics, and standard operating procedures as provided by the Noiler Business Unit and the company at large.
Conduct regular MU and SHF satisfaction surveys, develop satisfaction plans tailored to the territory's peculiarities, and make relevant suggestions to management through the AFSR.
Update management on the progress of the Noiler Business Model, market realities, and competitor activities within the territory through the AFSR.
Submit regular, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual field reports as required by management on Noiler Business progress and other activities impacting the business.
Engage with individuals, groups, and organizations in each community on Noiler Empowerment using mobilization, sensitization, and film shows, reporting on these activities within their respective timelines.
Support MUs in selling their birds after 5 weeks and ensure that the MU restocks and continues in business.
Deliver presentations to a mix of audiences, from formal meetings with town and community councils to informal meetings with groups of women, using a range of methods to consult with women and youth.
Identify and partner with other developmental agencies within the territory while keeping management informed.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, poultry farming, or working with rural communities is highly desirable. Experience in training, recruitment, and farmer engagement is a plus.
Skills:
Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
Problem-solving abilities to address challenges faced by MUs and SHFs.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, to interact with diverse groups including women, youth, and community leaders.
