Job Overview

• Pulse is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Beauty Writer to join the Pulse Picks team.
• As a Beauty Writer, you will create engaging and persuasive content that informs and inspires our audience.
• You will be responsible for writing articles, product reviews, and trend pieces that highlight the latest in skincare, makeup, haircare, and beauty trends.
• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the beauty industry and a strong ability to communicate effectively with our audience.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Write engaging and persuasive content related to beauty, including skincare, makeup, haircare, and beauty trends. Develop long-form articles, product reviews, tutorials, and listicles that provide valuable information and insights to our audience.
• Research: Conduct comprehensive research to provide accurate and data-driven insights in your articles. Stay updated on the latest beauty products, trends, and industry news by following reputable sources, attending beauty events, and interviewing industry experts.
• SEO Optimization: Implement SEO best practices to ensure high visibility and traffic for your content. Use keywords strategically, create compelling meta descriptions, and optimize images to enhance search engine rankings
• E-commerce/Product Recommendations: Develop content that drives sales and product recommendations in the beauty category. Write persuasive product descriptions, comparison guides, and buying guides that help readers make informed purchasing decisions.
• Trend Analysis: Stay updated with the latest beauty trends and incorporate them into your writing. Monitor social media, beauty blogs, and industry reports to identify emerging trends and popular products.
• Collaboration: Work with the editorial team to ensure content consistency and quality. Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, and videographers to create visually appealing content that complements your writing.
• Audience Engagement: Engage with readers by responding to comments, participating in social media discussions, and conducting surveys or polls to gather feedback and insights.
• Content Strategy: Contribute to the development of content strategies that align with Pulse Picks' goals. Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide ideas for new content formats, series, and special projects.

Requirements

• Educational Background: A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Professional Experience: 2-3 years of writing experience in beauty, lifestyle, or fashion industries.
• Passion for Beauty: Demonstrates a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the beauty industry, staying updated with the latest trends and products.
• Shopping Enthusiast: Enjoys shopping, has an eye for finding the best beauty products, and excels at window shopping.
• Lifestyle, Beauty, and Fashion Savvy: Keeps up with pop culture and trends, particularly in the beauty sector.
• E-commerce/Product Recommendation Writing: Proven experience in creating persuasive, sales-driven content focused on product recommendations.
• Research Expertise: Strong ability to conduct in-depth research and utilize data-driven insights to enhance content quality.
• SEO Proficiency: Knowledgeable in SEO techniques and trends, ensuring content is optimized for search engines.
