Job Summary
The Head of Programs and Partnerships will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction and operational achievements of the consulting firm.
This role requires a seasoned leader with a track record of delivering outstanding results, cultivating client relationships, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
As a key member of the firm's leadership team, the Head of Programs will be tasked with defining the organization's overarching vision, strategy, and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for originating projects, managing projects budgets, supervising team members and managing stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of all consulting programs and initiatives.
Develop and implement effective project management methodologies to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Partnership and Client Management:
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and innovative solutions to address their challenges.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients and partners understanding their needs and objectives
Identify potential strategic partners, alliances, and collaborators to enhance the firm's service offerings.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
Negotiate and establish mutually beneficial partnerships to support business growth and innovation.
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the programs and partnerships team.
Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Set clear performance goals and expectations, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development and refinement of the firm's strategic plan and growth initiatives.
Identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats to inform strategic decision-making.
Developandimplement strategies to optimize resource allocation and maximize organizational impact.
Thought Leadership:
Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Share insights and thought leadership internally and externally to enhance the firm's reputation and credibility.
Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness and foster industry connections.
Requirements
A graduate degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Agriculture, Development, Public Health, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years' experience within the non-profit sector, philanthropy, donor projects, and international development programs, including at least 2 years at director-level.
Demonstrated experience in originating and managing end-to-end donor or international development projects in the food, health, and agriculture sector.
Management consulting and critical thinking skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills for analyzing complex data, identifying trends, and providing data-driven insights and recommendations to clients.
Strong project management skills, adept at utilizing technology in project management processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must be proficient in presentation and public speaking.
Proven track record of business generation and driving revenue growth. Must be capable of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating leads, and developing compelling proposals to expand the firm's market presence.
