Job Title: UI/UX Plugin Designer for WordPress Plugins

Description
We are looking for experienced and creative UI/UX Plugin Designers with a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to design consistency to join our Products team.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will create visually compelling and user-friendly interfaces for our plugins. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to deliver intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
Responsibilities
As a UI/UX Plugin Designer at WPMU DEV, you’ll get to do more than design interfaces. You’ll showcase your expertise in team collaboration, prototyping, and testing. More specifically, you’ll get to:
Create intuitive and visually appealing UI designs for leading WordPress plugins using Figma.
Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to brainstorm ideas and iterate on designs.
Conduct research on competitors’ designs and industry trends.
Develop user journeys, flows, and wireframes, ensuring usability and user-centric design principles.
Maintain and work within our design system built in Figma.
Propose innovative design ideas and variations, contributing to product enhancement.
Stay updated with the latest trends in UI design and web technologies.
Commit to working a minimum of 40 hours per week on various projects.
Qualifications
Essential attributes and experience required:
A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in UI/UX design, specifically within WordPress projects.
Thorough understanding of WordPress, plugins, and the ecosystem’s opportunities and limitations.
Proficiency in Figma for design creation and prototyping.
A strong portfolio showcasing skills in UI/UX
Portfolio demonstrating creative and user-focused design solutions.
Strong understanding of UX principles, user journeys, and user flows.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in conducting competitive analysis and user research.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively liaise with your Product Manager.
Strong communication skills with proactive responses to emails and Slack messages.
