Job Title: Consulting - Scrum Master

Job Description

  • Are you looking for the best place to apply your current Scrum Master skills and further develop them by working with some of the most dynamic and innovative minds around?
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master with a minimum of four years of experience in delivering data and software development projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully guiding cross-functional teams in the implementation of Agile methodologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality products.  
  • As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in driving the Agile process, removing impediments, and ensuring the team is aligned with the project goals.

Responsibilities
Agile Facilitation:

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Guide teams in the effective use of Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products.
  • Ensure that the Scrum framework is implemented and adhered to within the teams, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Project Delivery:

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project’s vision, goals, and objectives are clearly understood and followed.
  • Support the team in breaking down complex data and software development tasks into manageable increments that can be delivered within a sprint.
  • Track and communicate project progress, velocity, and sprint/release goals to all stakeholders.

Impediment Removal:

  • Proactively identify and resolve any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress.
  • Collaborate with external teams and management to remove dependencies and external blockers.
  • Support the team in managing risks and dependencies to ensure timely delivery.

Team Development:

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment where team members can thrive.
  • Mentor and coach team members on Agile best practices, helping them to become self-organized and accountable.
  • Encourage a culture of feedback and continuous learning within the team.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Act as a bridge between the development team and stakeholders, managing expectations and fostering transparency.
  • Facilitate discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution within the team.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable plans.
  • Encourage the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Stay current with industry trends, Agile methodologies, and emerging technologies to continuously refine the team's processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc., B.Eng, B.Tech., HND, etc.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field with a minimum of second class upper degree/upper credit.
  • Have minimum of a credit in five (5) O ’levels subjects including Mathematics and English in one sitting only.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Scrum Master, specifically in data and software development projects.
  • Experience working with agile development methodologies such as Sprint and Scrum.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean practices.
  • Proven experience in delivering projects in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and data management practices.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar project management software.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
