Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Area Operations Manager

Position Overview

• The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of the restaurant. This role involves ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, managing staff, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, achieving financial targets, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to company standards.
• Ensure the restaurant complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both customers and staff.
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies to prevent shortages or overages.
• Conduct regular inspections of the restaurant, kitchen, and equipment to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service by training and supervising staff, promptly resolving customer complaints and addressing any issues that arise.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to continually improve the overall customer experience.
• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for customers, fostering repeat business and customer loyalty.
• Ensure that customers are well-served and enjoy a pleasant dining experience, with a conducive dining ambiance.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
• Ensure that staff are properly scheduled and positioned in their respective departments according to their skill set.
• Supervise staff to ensure compliance with set standards, company policies, and procedures.
• Ensure that staff are appropriately dressed, comply with the specified dress code, and maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
• Analyze financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Monitor sales performance and develop initiatives to increase revenue and achieve sales budgets.
• Control profitability by following cash handling and security procedures, maintaining accurate inventory, and taking appropriate actions based on financial analysis.
• Ensure that products are available on time, properly merchandised, and meet Bukka Hut quality standards.
• Ensure that products are produced according to Bukka Hut’s recipes and are checked for quality before being displayed for sale.
• Liaise with the procurement officer/Inventory Officer to ensure that raw materials are available for production.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar managerial role in a QSR.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
• Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety, health regulations, and financial management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
