Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to join our leadership team.
The Vice Principal will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, administration, and day-to-day operations of the school, working closely with the Principal, staff, students, and parents to maintain and enhance the high standards of our educational offerings.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Principal in developing and implementing the academic curriculum, policies, and programs consistent with international standards and educational best practices.
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and evaluation of the secondary school curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational objectives and student needs.
Provide guidance and support to faculty members in instructional practices, assessment strategies, and professional development opportunities.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment conducive to academic achievement and personal growth.
Implement and enforce disciplinary policies and procedures in collaboration with the Principal, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Address student concerns, conflicts, and behavioural issues in a timely and effective manner, fostering a positive school culture.
Assist the Principal in overseeing day-to-day operations, including student enrolment, scheduling, facilities management, and budget administration.
Coordinate with department heads, counsellors, and support staff to optimize school resources and support student success.
Maintain accurate records and reports related to student academic performance, attendance, and behaviour.
Cultivate strong relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders through regular communication, meetings, and events.
Collaborate with the Principal in addressing parental concerns, soliciting feedback, and fostering a sense of partnership in education.
Represent the school at community events, conferences, and professional organizations to promote its mission and values.
Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends, research, and innovations in education.
Mentor and support faculty members in their professional growth, providing opportunities for training, collaboration, and reflection.
Pursue personal and professional growth opportunities to enhance leadership skills and contribute to the advancement of the school community.
Any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an educational institution, preferably in an international school setting.
Strong knowledge of international curricula and educational best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
