Job Purpose
The overall purpose of this role is to work closely to support the Manager, Grants Development and Technical Management to identify new business opportunities with ability to conduct market research, and sustain client relationships for organizational growth.
S/he will support, maintain and optimize grantmaking systems, processes and procedures, legal compliance, and overall quality control.
S/he will also work closely with a dynamic team responsible for responding to diverse request for fund applications, continual fund solicitations/interim progress report and quality implementation of ongoing projects.
S/he will support the management of grant related communications including relevant registrations and tracking of funders responses.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Manager, Grants Development and Technical Management to assess, maintain, develop, and execute the organizations grantmaking process to meet and support the strategic direction of the organization
Support the maintenance and update of grant electronic data systems to effectively follow up grant activities and to determine progress.
Review response to grant proposal procedures for donor compliance requirements before grant submission.
Work collaboratively with other departments/units to ensure alignment of business development efforts
Support the full cycle of grants management activities from pre-award assessments, monitoring / compliance visits and close out procedures
Support the thorough review of contracts for grants and timely communicating feedback on reviews.
Support the processing of consultant and sub-award contracts from initiation to final approvals and payments. Support the team in partner engagement and relationship management

Qualifications
Degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Social Sciences
Master’s degree or equivalent in international affairs, Development or related subject will be an added advantage.
Experience in administration in a business development role will be an advantage.
At least 2 - 3 years’ experience working on projects and/or grants management.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
At least 2 years of experience that demonstrates project management skills.
Effective time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Strong analytic, communication (verbal and oral) and writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Perform detail-oriented work with a high level of accuracy.
Ability to follow processes and practices to ensure legal compliancy
Excellent interpersonal skills that allow for effective relationships in a diverse environment.
Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow up on requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Must exhibit high levels of professionalism, integrity, and ethical values at all times.
Recordkeeping, report preparation, filing methods, and records management techniques.
Attention to details with a high degree of accuracy.
