Job Overview

• The Equipment Maintainer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of mineral processing machinery and equipment to ensure their smooth operation.
• This role involves regular inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of a variety of equipment, including crushing equipment, motors, slurry pumps, belt conveyors, cyclones, ball mills, thickeners, and flotation tanks.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance, welding, and gas cutting, with the ability to produce non-standard parts as required by the company.

Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform regular maintenance on crushing equipment (jaw machines, cone crushers), motors, slurry pumps, belt conveyors, cyclones, ball mills, thickeners, and flotation tanks for any signs of wear or tear and promptly address any issues.
• Ensure all equipment areoperating efficiently and safely.

Repairs and Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine the best course of action for repairs. Dismantle, repair, and reinstall motors and other machinery components as needed.
• Utilize welding and gas cutting skills to repair and fabricate parts.

Non-standard Parts Production:

• Produce non-standard parts such as pipes, brackets, and other custom components as required by the company.
• Ensure that all fabricated parts meet the specified dimensions and quality standards.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to equipment maintenance and safety.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements.

Requirements

• Preferred candidate should be within the age range of 18-40 years old.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the mining, construction or heavy machinery industry.
• Proficient in welding, gas cutting, and other relevant skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Salary
N110,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
