Description

About the Role

  • As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will architect, deploy, and execute comprehensive strategic marketing frameworks for the entire organization and specific business units and brands.
  • Your role involves leveraging advanced analytics, digital marketing tools, and automation technologies to optimize customer acquisition, enhance engagement, and maximize retention metrics.
  • You will continuously analyze and iterate marketing strategies to ensure alignment with evolving market trends and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing Plan:

  • Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan.
  • Support and facilitate the development and implementation of segment-level business/marketing plans.
  • Translate business unit objectives and strategies to develop brand portfolio objectives, strategies, and plans to facilitate business unit growth.
  • Develop marketing strategy based on knowledge of company policy, market nature, copyright and royalty requirements, and cost and mark-up factors.
  • Edit materials according to specific market or customer requirements.
  • Develop promotional materials including marketing collateral and print copies.
  • Develop brand standards and usage guidelines and assist with integrating campaigns with brand consistency.

Marketing Budget:

  • Plan and administer the organization’s marketing budget.
  • Manage marketing suppliers.
  • Negotiate with media agents to secure agreements for translation of materials into other media.
  • Edit materials according to specific market or customer requirements.
  • Develop promotional materials including marketing collateral and print copies.
  • Liaise with sales business on development activities.
  • Offer coaching for prospective client meetings, presentations, etc.
  • Work with regional offices on designing and implementing prospecting and client contact systems.

Corporate Communications:

  • Oversee corporate communications activities.
  • Manage external communications and systems.
  • Handle internal communications and systems.
  • Lead public relations efforts.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants.

Brand Management:

  • Develop and administer company brands.
  • Manage external marketing partners such as advertising agencies, digital marketing firms, and production companies.
  • Supervise a brand’s architecture, content, and function, and manage access to brand assets.
  • Track consumer and market insights by reviewing metrics such as pricing and distribution and conducting consumer research.

Team Management:

  • Supervise staff within the marketing department.
  • Make staffing and hiring decisions.
  • Build and develop a competent, commercially astute, dedicated, and efficient marketing team.
  • Manage day-to-day activity with PR, press, and marketing communications agencies.

Periodic Duties:

  • Design, implement, and facilitate the annual marketing plan.
  • Support and facilitate the development and implementation of segment-level business/marketing plans.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager Sales and Marketing.

Requirements
What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of professional experience in a marketing role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Expertise in local market trends and customer behavior analysis.
  • Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in digital marketing tools and analytics.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Remuneration
N1,200,000 gross p/a.
