Jami Al Hakeem Foundation (J-HF) is a women-led, nonprofit, non-governmental organization, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2008. J-HF delivers humanitarian and developmental interventions across communities that covers various sectors; Education, WASH, Governance, Livelihood Empowerment, Protection, Community Security, Peace building, Food Security and Nutrition.
The interventions of J-HF target marginalized and underserved communities with special focus on youths, elderly, people with special needs, women, and girls. J-HF has experience in execution of sustainable programmes that transform communities. Jami Al Hakeem presently operates in 4 states from the Northeast region of Nigeria; Adamawa, Borno, Yobe and Gombe with the Head Office in Yola, Adamawa State.

Job Description
Implement Education activities according to Concept note, budgets, and work plans.
Lead in organizing and facilitating training programs.
Directly Implement the project with the project Manager.
Support the MEAL Officer on assessments, Monitoring and Evaluation of Project activities.
The Education Officer will also be responsible for the project assessment, analysis, design, capacity building.
He/she will be responsible for supervising, training, and building the capacity of the learning facilitations
Oversee the initial training of learning facilitators, as well as their continuous professional development.
Monitor progress towards the objectives and intended outputs using routine data, spot checks, observation, and other methodologies.
Provide regular written and verbal reports on education activities to the Project Manager.
Promote the quality of non-formal education activities by setting up quality assurance mechanisms and checks in collaboration with other staff.
Responsible for the reporting of educational activities on a monthly basis.
Manage, maintain, and update the project data base
Collect and send weekly reports and monthly consolidated reports
Collect and compile lessons learnt and challenges from field locations.
Design, and carry out capacity building for facilitators and beneficiaries.
Train, supervise, and technically support Education facilitators.
Observe and record trends and situation of project location in terms of gaps and persons in Needs for future programming.
Collaborate with SUBEB and LEA focal persons in the locations of implementation to carry out selection, and training and workshops for facilitators and teachers.
Establish and or revive SBMCs and G4G in all the locations of our projects and apply strategies to strengthen them to be more functional and active.
Train SBMCs on resource mobilization management, safety and security of schools for
children, access to quality, inclusive and protective education in their communities.
Train teachers on social protection, fundamental human rights, and GBV to lead the safe spaces.
Establish safe space in schools to equip girls with leadership and advocacy skills
Conduct monthly meetings with SBMCs for need to support the education intervention and support coordination/management within the school environment, this will serve as a platform to discuss and address issues within the school environment.
Organize monthly coordination meetings involving all major stakeholders at the project locations
Other Key Qualities Required:
Understanding your role and responsibilities as well as policies of the organization.
Completing tasks assigned by the Management, or line manager.
Keeping internal information confidential
Willing to learn and participate in meeting and training programs.
Technical Expertise, Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies
Minimum of Four (4) years of cognate experience within the developmental or humanitarian sector.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Education, Social Science, Social Work, Psychology or related fields.
A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
Have worked before directly with children
Good knowledge of the EiE Working Group, and understanding the education situation of northeast Nigeria.
Good knowledge of Child Safeguarding, PSEA Policies, MHPSS and the concept of Do No Harm, and good at working with children and vulnerable people especially in emergency settings.
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
A high degree of professionalism and the ability to follow instructions.
Good organizational skills.
Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
