We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Abraham Adesanya Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and report any variances.

General Ledger Maintenance:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely payments to vendors and accurate billing to clients.

Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.

Audit Support:

• Prepare documents and provide support during internal and external audits. Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.Evaluate financial performance and provide insights to management.

Property Management Accounting:

• Manage accounting for property acquisitions, sales, leases, and management.
• Track property income, expenses, and profitability.

Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage financing requirements.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Qualifications

• HND, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of real estate transactions and accounting.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary
N150,000 / month.
