Centre for Community Development and Research Network (CCDRN) is a local Non-governmental organization (NGO) in Nigeria with its head office in Kaduna. CCDRN partners with communities, philanthropists, government and donors to provide sustainable community development services in the areas of conflict resolution, peace building, economic empowerment, agriculture, health, education as well as governance. With funding from humanitarian donors for programs to engage in several interventions including but not limited to food assistance, livelihoods, cash transfers and capacity building of humanitarian response actors.

Job Purpose
The Deputy Program Director will provide strategic leadership and support to the Program Director in developing and implementing organizational plans and policies.
The Deputy Program Director will ensure that operational systems and processes are efficient, effective, and productive and align with organizational goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Collaborate with executive-level management to develop performance goals and long-term operational plans that align with organizational quality standards and best practices.
Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity and develop plans to achieve them.
Ensure that operational systems and processes are integrated into organizational plans and policies and aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Operational Management:
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into critical initiatives' goals, progress, and obstacles.
Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending improvement solutions where necessary.
Plan, monitor, and analyze critical metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
Capacity Building and Team Management:
Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs operational-wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
Work closely with the operation manager, human resources manager, procurement manager, and programs lead to lead the team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
Uphold the organization's policies and standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
Leadership and Collaboration:
Make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals based on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors.
Provide technical assistance and capacity-strengthening activities for program staff and partners to improve program quality and impact.
Ensure that reports are accurate, timely, and informative and provide actionable recommendations for program improvement.
Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare and submit regular reports, including operational, financial, and compliance reports, to the program director and program stakeholders.
Ensure that reports are submitted on time and meet the required standards.
Ensure that all operational activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Other Responsibilities:
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Program Director or program management team, including supporting other program components and initiatives.
Collaborate with program stakeholders to ensure operational systems and processes align with program goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or related field.
Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a relevant field.
Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, development community, and employee management.
Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
Ability to streamline or implement new structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
Proven ability to create innovative solutions that lead to increased productivity.
Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills backed up by previous professional success.
Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM).
