Hope and Rural Aid Foundation (HARAF) is a National Non-Profit organization functioning since 2011 but was officially registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the year 2016 with registration number RN: CAC/IT/:85536.
Hope and Rural Aid Foundation currently has three field and operational offices in Adamawa, Maiduguri and Yobe states of Nigeria. The organisation works in the Food Security and Livelihood, Protection (Child Protection/Gender based violence), Education and Shelter/ (Camp Coordination and Camp Management) thematic areas.

Job Title: Graphic and Photography / Success Story Harvesting Officer
Location: Yola, Adamawa

Job Summary
The Graphic and Photography/Success Story Harvesting Officer is responsible for creating visually compelling graphics, capturing high-quality photographs, manages all social media platforms and documenting success stories that highlight the impact and achievements of the organization’s projects and initiatives.
This role requires a creative individual with a keen eye for detail, strong storytelling abilities, and proficiency in graphic design and photography.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design:
Develop and design a variety of digital and print materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, banners, and reports.
Create visual content that aligns with the organization’s brand guidelines and communication strategies.
Collaborate with various departments to understand design needs and deliver creative solutions.
Maintain a digital library of all graphic assets and templates for future use.
Photography:
Plan and execute photo shoots to capture high-quality images of events, project activities, beneficiaries with consent, and other relevant subjects.
Edit and retouch photographs to ensure they meet professional standards.
Maintain and organize a comprehensive photo archive, ensuring all images are properly labeled and stored.
Success Story Harvesting:
Identify and document compelling success stories that illustrate the impact of the organization’s work.
Conduct interviews with beneficiaries, staff, and stakeholders to gather information and testimonials.
Write and edit stories, ensuring they are engaging, accurate, and align with the organization’s mission and values.
Collaborate with the communications team to disseminate success stories across various platforms, including the organization’s website, social media, newsletters, and reports.
Other Duties:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design, photography, and storytelling.
Manages all HARAF social media platforms. Create and post content daily on all platforms.
Provide support for other communications and marketing initiatives as needed.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience in graphic design and photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
Experience in storytelling, writing, or journalism is an asset.
Skills and Competencies:
Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong photography skills, including the use of professional cameras and editing software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Creativity and a strong sense of visual aesthetics.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel by any means of transportation available as needed to capture photographs and success stories.
Flexibility to work outside regular office hours when necessary.
