Job Summary
The Relationship Officer is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to support the bank's growth objectives.
This role involves identifying potential clients, promoting financial products and services, managing customer accounts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition:
Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and referrals.
Promote the bank’s financial products and services to prospective clients.
Conduct presentations and sales pitches to convert leads into clients.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer retention and loyalty.
Regularly engage with clients to understand their financial needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely support.
Account Management:
Manage and monitor customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
Assist clients with account openings, loan applications, and other banking services.
Ensure all client documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Cross-Selling:
Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing clients.
Collaborate with other departments to offer tailored solutions that meet clients’ needs.
Achieve sales targets by promoting relevant banking products.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
Analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in products and services.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve customer experience and satisfaction.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and feedback.
Prepare regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market trends.
Ensure all documentation is stored securely and is accessible for audit purposes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Good understanding of banking products and services.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
