We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Barista

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Preparing Coffee and Espresso Drinks:

• Brew coffee using various methods (drip, pour-over, French press).
• Operate espresso machines to make espresso shots, lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks.
• Steam and froth milk to the desired consistency.

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders.
• Provide recommendations and answer questions about the menu.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

• Clean and sanitize workstations, coffee machines, and equipment regularly.
• Wash dishes and utensils.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the café or coffee shop.

Handling Transactions:

• Operate the cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Issue receipts and manage cash drawer.

Stock Management:

• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
• Replenish stock and inform management when supplies are running low.

Following Recipes and Procedures:

• Prepare drinks according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality and presentation.

Training and Mentoring:

• Train new baristas on equipment, procedures, and customer service standards.
• Share knowledge and best practices with team members.

Creating a Welcoming Atmosphere:

• Foster a positive and inviting environment for customers.
• Engage with customers to build rapport and encourage repeat business.

Promotions and Upselling:

• Inform customers about special offers, seasonal drinks, and promotions.
• Suggest additional items, such as pastries or snacks, to enhance the customer experience.

Adhering to Health and Safety Standards:

• Follow food safety guidelines and hygiene practices.
• Ensure compliance with local health regulations.

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
