Job Description

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Patrol Officer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining public order, enforcing laws and ordinances, and ensuring community safety through proactive patrolling and response to incidents.
• This role demands a high level of integrity, strong communication skills, and the ability to make quick, sound decisions in various situations.

Key Responsibilities
Patrol Duties:

•  Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity.
•  Monitor and report suspicious activities, ensuring prompt response to emergencies and incidents.
•  Maintain a visible presence to deter crime and reassure the public.

Law Enforcement:

•  Enforce local, state, and federal laws, as well as traffic regulations.
•  Issue citations and make arrests when necessary.
•  Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and prepare detailed reports.

Community Engagement:

•  Build positive relationships with community members, local businesses, and organizations.
•  Participate in community events and crime prevention programs.
•  Address community concerns and provide information on public safety issues.

Emergency Response:

•  Respond to calls for service, including accidents, medical emergencies, and criminal incidents.
•  Provide first aid and coordinate with other emergency services as needed.
•  Ensure the safety and security of crime scenes and assist in investigations.

Administrative Duties:

•  Prepare and submit accurate reports and documentation related to patrol activities and incidents.
•  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and departmental policies.
•  Attend training sessions and briefings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patrol Officer or in a similar law enforcement role.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of criminal law, investigative procedures, and public safety practices.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of patrolling and emergency response.

Requirements:

• Must meet physical requirements for law enforcement duties, including running, lifting, and physical confrontation.
• Ability to operate a patrol vehicle and other equipment as necessary.
