Job Title: Business Development Manager (Media)

Location: Apo, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • The Business Development Manager (Media) is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth within the media sector.
  • This role involves strategic planning, market research, and the development of tailored solutions to meet the needs of clients.

Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities within the media industry.
  • Analyze competitive landscape and consumer behavior to inform business development strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including media agencies, advertisers, and content creators.
  • Understand client needs and provide customized solutions that align with their objectives.

Sales & Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and present compelling sales pitches and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals to achieve sales targets.

Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business development strategies.
  • Set and monitor sales goals, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new products and services.

Project Management:

  • Oversee the execution of business development projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure successful project delivery.

Networking & Events:

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Build and expand professional networks to enhance business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Media Studies.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the media industry.
  • Strong understanding of media landscapes, including digital, print, broadcast, and social media.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
