Job Summary

• As a NOC Engineer, you will be integral to a dynamic team responsible for maintaining the organization's network infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Network Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Effectively monitor the organization's network infrastructure.
• Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability.
• Proactively monitor, identify, and resolve network issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks and implement preventive measures.

Ticket Management and Troubleshooting:

• Promptly respond to network issues, troubleshoot, and resolve them within given SLAs.
• Accurately diagnose and document problems.
• Coordinate with relevant teams for issue resolution.
• Document ticket details and resolutions.

Network Performance Optimization:

• Optimize network performance by analyzing network metrics.
• Identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement and implement necessary changes or optimizations.
• Conduct network configurations, capacity planning, and implement performance enhancement measures.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, issues, changes, and resolutions.
• Document network diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Generate reports on network performance.
• Ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
• Communicate network-related information clearly and timely.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and foster positive working relationships.

Key Performance Indicators

• Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) as per SLA.
• Network availability.
• Online ticket closure rate.
• Completion of internal projects (backhauls, router, BTS installation).

Education and Experience
Education:

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a NOC Engineer or in a similar network operations role.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and technologies (SNMP monitoring systems, packet analyzers, etc.).
• Familiarity with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.).
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Ability to analyze and interpret network traffic and logs to diagnose issues.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

• Expertise in networking technologies, network monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, network equipment, and network security.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Knowledge:

• ISP technologies, internet protocols, traffic engineering, data center operations, SLAs, documentation and reporting, industry standards, and best practices.
