Job Title: Product Designer / E-Commerce Supervisor

Location: Lagos

Job Overview

• We are looking for a talented individual who can balance the creative demands of product design with the strategic and operational needs of e-commerce management.
• The ideal candidate will have strong UX/UI design skills and an understanding of e-commerce platforms and strategies.

Responsibilities
Product Design:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to improve product functionality and design.
• Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.

E-commerce Supervision:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce department.
• Manage and update the company’s online store, ensuring product listings are accurate and up-to-date.
• Develop and implement e-commerce strategies to increase online sales and improve customer experience.
• Monitor and analyze website performance, traffic, and sales data to make informed decisions.
• Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute online marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media.
• Stay current with e-commerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Train and mentor junior e-commerce staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Design, Fine Arts, Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Designer, E-commerce Supervisor, or similar role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design projects.
• Proficient in design software (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, Illustrator).
• Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., BigCommerce,Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
• Experience with digital marketing tools and techniques.
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
