Job Title: Senior Construction Coordinator

Key Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate having been a Safety champion for a site inspection team who ensured that the team fulfilled safety program roles and responsibilities, which include the entrenchment of operational discipline, and globally recognized safety cultures, practices, and values.
Candidate should be familiar with the continuous engagement of safety officers regarding safety management in their areas and providing input on areas requiring support.
Supervise cross-functional teams performing premobilization inspection for all equipment that will be mobilized for construction activities. These include dredging vessels, swamp buggies, welding machines, fabrication yard facilities, etc, to mention a few.
Provide assurance that Construction Pre-Mobilization Procedures are strictly adhered to for equipment mobilization exercises as well as contractor’s facilities.
Candidate must be able to provide oversight for a multi-disciplinary team of construction crews on routine and emergency maintenance actions in the oil and gas sector.
Ensure contractor complies with contract Specifications.
Mentor and support all Inspectors and ensure that they understand the Contract Documents applicable to their projects, understand the drawings, ensure drawings are approved for construction and latest revisions and specifications are provided.
Coordination of inspectors to support ongoing projects, ensuring adequate coverage of work as well as ensuring the appropriate inspectors are assigned to the projects.
Provide construction technical support to project engineers, construction engineers, and Supervisors.
Visit sites on a regular basis to promote the ideals of psychological safety and encourage the use of Stop Work Authority (SWA) and other similar intervention approaches to address unsafe, abnormal, or changing site conditions. Furthermore, candidate must emphasize the need for compliance and the consequences of non-compliance.
Ensure appropriate qualification of and utilization of pre-qualified welding procedures and qualification of welders in line with globally acceptable standards.
Periodically review and advise on manpower, tool, and equipment resource requirements at field locations.
Ensure as-built documentation & QA/QC package for completed projects are submitted and review the QA/QC package for completeness.
Candidate must demonstrate capacity to effectively participate in and/or preside over bid walks/meetings and kick off meetings. Furthermore, candidate must be able to contribute to Contractor Technical Bid Evaluation process.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of HND in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with 15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Pipelay in the swamp/onshore locations, and multi-disciplinary projects.
