Project Overview and Role
Data.FI is a five-year global project funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support the HIV and COVID-19 response.
Data.FI partners with programs to accelerate and sustain access to high-quality data to expedite HIV and COVID-19 epidemic control and maintenance.
By improving global, regional, national, and community/local in-depth analyses of HIV and COVID-19 epidemiologic and programmatic data, Data.FI expedites program achievements to improve client services and attain and sustain control of the epidemics.
Data.FI supports host country governments to enhance existing health information systems (HIS), informing management responses to gaps in programming and sustaining impact by supporting local partner transition.
Purpose of Position
Palladium is seeking to employ a Website Designer and Content Creator with adequate experience in Website Designing and Content Creating.
The Website Designer and Content Creator will work closely with the Business analyst and Communications teams to design, develop, and maintain the Health Information System (HIS) Community of practice (CoP) website ensuring it is visually appealing and user-friendly.
This role will involve creating high-quality content that effectively communicates the HIS COP initiative, activities and the LAMISPlus EMR brand message engaging a global target audience to ensure cohesive and compelling digital presence.
The Website Designer and Content Creator will report to the Communications Specialist.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Website Design:
Design and develop responsive and visually appealing website that meet business objectives.
Ensure website is user-friendly, accessible, and optimized for various devices (including mobile) and browsers.
Create a wiki for the Community of practice activities and engagement.
Create a communication/talk channel through the website to enhance communication within the Community of practice.
Collaborate with the development team to implement design elements and ensure technical feasibility.
Continuously monitor website performance and make improvements as needed.
Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
Content Creation:
Create high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content for the HIS COP website, newsletter, social media, and other digital platforms.
Develop content strategies that align with the CoP goals and target audience needs.
Work with the Business analyst team to create and manage a content calendar.
Edit and proofread content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
Use analytics tools to measure content performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams the business analyst, development, and communications to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
Communicate design and content concepts clearly to team members.
Provide input on promotional products and initiatives to ensure alignment with website design and content strategies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/IT, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Website Designer and Content Creation or in a similar role.
Proficiency in web design tools such as WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, and relevant technologies.
