Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Lead ensures that programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsible for monitoring and updating policies and procedures to include regulatory changes.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's products and/or development processes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices, patient care outcomes, and operational processes.
Collaborate with department heads and medical staff to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Monitor and analyze data to track performance metrics and trends, providing actionable insights for continuous quality enhancement.
Facilitate training programs and workshops to educate staff on quality improvement methodologies and best practices.
Serve as a liaison with external agencies, auditors, and accreditation bodies to maintain compliance and achieve accreditation goals.
Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for hospital leadership and regulatory agencies.
Prepares directives, guidelines, information on various components of quality management and patient safety for dissemination throughout the Hospital.
Develops and maintains a quality and outcomes management information system.
Directs the collection, measurement and presentation of data required for monitoring quality and patient safety indicators.
Develops and manages the education and technical expertise in quality improvement and patient safety of the hospital staff, medical staff and Board of Directors.
Reviews, analyses, aggregates and trends all occurrence reports submitted by departmental heads for completeness of documentation and accuracy.
Leads the team in any Root Cause analysis necessary and reports findings to the appropriate people.

Provides ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the hospital performance improvement and risk management programs. This includes an evaluation of the previous year plan and assuring the plan for the next year is approved by the appropriate committees.
Works with the Materials Management and Pharmacy Departments on the recalls of equipment and medications.
Works collaboratively with the Infection Control Program as well as the Health and Safety Committee to identify and correct unsafe conditions and work practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
Proven experience in quality assurance or healthcare management, preferably in a hospital sector.
Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, quality improvement methodologies, and patient safety standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.
Excellent verbal, and written communicator and with great presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive change.
Certification in relevant industry ISO Standards.
Knowledge of ISO standards installation and implementation.
