About the Role

• This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, multi-talented individual who wants to grow inside of a fast-moving startup and work closely with the founders.
• The ideal candidate is a future entrepreneur or executive who is willing to work hard and do a wide variety of non-glamorous tasks for a year or two to get their foot in the door, learn, and make connections.
• The Embedded Systems Product Manager (PM) will play a pivotal role in defining our product strategy, driving execution, and ensuring successful product launches.
• This position requires a unique blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on collaboration.
• The ideal candidate will be passionate about embedded systems and capable of wearing both a technical and product hat.

Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap:

• Collaborate closely with the founders to develop and own a comprehensive product strategy.
• Define clear business goals and translate them into actionable steps.
• Create a product roadmap that aligns with our vision and market needs.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

• Serve as the bridge between business, engineering, design, and other teams.
• Break down organizational silos and foster collaboration.
• Lead discussions and initiatives to move the product forward.

Technical Understanding:

• Dive deep into the technical aspects of our product, especially related to embedded systems.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure feasibility and alignment with our vision.
• Make informed decisions based on technical constraints and opportunities.

Product Development:

• Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
• Prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to iterate on the product.

Market Analysis and Competitive Landscape:

• Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
• Identify market gaps and opportunities.
• Adjust the product strategy as needed to stay ahead.

User-Centric Approach:

• Advocate for our users and their needs.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and gather insights.
• Ensure that our product delivers exceptional value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business).
• Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a startup environment.
• Strong understanding of IoT concepts and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
• Passion for innovation and a track record of delivering successful products.

• Attention to detail: You’re extremely organized, with a knack for noticing and remembering details.
• Proactiveness: Identify things that need to be done and resolve them without being told to.
• Excellent persuasive, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a good knowledge of G Suite's collaboration tools.
• Drive, stamina and self motivation.
• You’re fluent with the internet and internet culture, able to research anything effectively online. You’re also a daily user of mobile software, AI & apps.
