Support SEMA / NEMA in camp coordination & camp management activities.
Establish & maintain, in collaboration with the authorities, effective intra site coordination mechanisms among service providers & partners.
Monitor the living conditions in IDP sites, define gaps & prioritize needs.
Alert the Camp Manager & CCCM / Shelter / NFI sector on new arrivals & departures, to ensure a rapid response.
Support in maintaining site information management systems & monitor service provision including cross cutting services such as prevention & response to Sexual & Gender Based Violence (SGBV), health, psychosocial support & HIV among others in all sectors of the site according to agreed guidelines, camp minimum standards & indicators.
Ensure an effective complaints & feedback mechanism that is accessible to all camp residents.
Promote strategies to build & strengthen confidence within communities & the groups living in the site & between site residents & surrounding communities & favour a peaceful coexistence.
Ensure the mobilization & participation of the site & host populations in the site governance system with particular emphasis on meaningful inclusion of women, children, elderly & persons with specific needs into decision making processes.
Support camp management agencies & local authorities as they facilitate the search for durable solutions for the displaced population in collaboration with the CCCM Officer ensure that there is adequate coverage of sites hosting IDP populations by the CCCM mobile teams.
Support SEMA & NEMA in the establishment of representative IDP committees that reflect age, gender & diversity of the IDP population at site level.
Promote set up of youth & women empowerment groups in the sites.
Ensure that the CCCM multi sector site tracker is updated on a weekly basis by the CCCM mobile teams.
Extract reports from the CCCM multi sector site tracker proper analysis & response.
Commit to enforce & advocate for decisions taken by the CCCM / NFI / shelter sector working group at field level.
Attend in coordination meetings in camps, sector technical working groups & task forces representing our client when delegated to do so.
Discharge any other relevant duty as assigned by the CCCM Officer.
Project Reporting:
This role reports to the CCCM Officer.
Qualifications
Certificate in Social Science or behavioural Sciences Degree or equivalent (essential).
Experience:
Sector experience: Minimum of 1 year/s of demonstrable relevant Camp Management experience (essential).
Geographical experience: Minimum of 1 year/s of experience in Africa (essential).
Key Competencies:
Previous experience in camp management related work.
Previous experience in capacity building is an added advantage.
Fluency in English & locally spoken languages in Benue (Idoma, Tiv & Hausa).
