Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bakery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring product quality, maintaining inventory, and driving sales to achieve business goals.
The Bakery Manager will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the bakery, including production, sales, and customer service.
Develop and implement operational procedures and policies to ensure efficiency and quality.
Monitor and control production processes to ensure consistent product quality and minimize waste.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise bakery staff, including bakers, decorators, and sales associates.
Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs within budget.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Inventory and Supply Management:
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, ingredients, and finished products.
Order supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure continuous production.
Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock rotation to minimize spoilage.
Quality Control:
Ensure all baked goods meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
Develop and implement quality control procedures.
Address any issues related to product quality promptly.
Customer Service:
Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain customers.
Sales and Marketing:
Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and product displays.
Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.
Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns.
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage the bakery’s budget, including sales forecasts and expense control.
Analyze financial reports and take corrective actions as necessary.
Implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality.
Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct regular health and safety audits and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant certification in bakery management or food safety is a plus.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Bakery Manager or in a similar role within the food industry.
Strong knowledge of bakery production processes and equipment.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in inventory management and cost control.
Good understanding of financial statements and budget management.
Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
Working Conditions:

Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
