Job Overview
The Travel Consultant specializing in ticketing will be responsible for managing all aspects of flight bookings, including reservations, ticket issuance, and itinerary changes. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the airline ticketing process to ensure a smooth and efficient travel experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Flight Bookings and Reservations:
Assist clients in selecting and booking flights that meet their preferences and budget.
Manage flight reservations using global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
Ensure all flight bookings are accurate and confirmed with the airlines.
Ticket Issuance:
Issue flight tickets accurately and promptly, following airline policies and regulations.
Handle ticket reissues, exchanges, and cancellations as required.
Provide clients with detailed itineraries and travel information.
Customer Service and Support:
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Offer ongoing support to clients before, during, and after their trips.
Handle any travel-related issues or emergencies, providing quick and effective solutions.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Promote and sell flight tickets and related travel services.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the company.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional travel services.
Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate and organized records of client interactions, bookings, and transactions.
Prepare and submit reports on sales, bookings, and client feedback.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and travel regulations.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure compliance with airline and travel industry regulations.
Stay informed about changes in airline policies and procedures.
Advise clients on travel regulations, including passport and visa requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as a travel consultant or in a similar role, with a focus on ticketing.
In-depth knowledge of global distribution systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in using travel booking systems and software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
