Job Description

• Do you have a passion for fashion and a proven track record of leading high-performing tailoring teams? Are you a meticulous leader with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality?
• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Tailor to join our client's fashion house team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing all aspects of our tailoring operations, ensuring exceptional workmanship and timely production of our garments.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Leadership: Effectively coordinate a team of tailors to meet production targets, deadlines, and quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain a robust quality control system to ensure garments meet exact specifications and are error-free.
• Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to tailors, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
• Team Management: Motivate and inspire your team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Performance Management: Implement a fair and effective performance management system for tailors, providing constructive feedback and coaching for growth.
• Operational Efficiency: Streamline tailoring processes to ensure smooth workflow and maximize productivity.
• Billing & Administration: Oversee the billing process for tailors and maintain accurate records.
• Safety & Well-being: Proactively ensure a safe and healthy work environment for your team, prioritizing their well-being.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a skilled tailor in a fashion house environment.
• Must have 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing a team of tailors.
• In-depth knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and tailoring best practices.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
