Job Description
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all security measures to protect our assets, guests, and employees.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in security management within the hospitality industry, a strong understanding of the latest security technologies, and a proven track record of leading security teams effectively.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures.
Lead and manage the security department, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of security personnel.
Collaborate with the executive team to align security strategies with overall business objectives.
Risk Management:
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and threats.
Develop and maintain a risk management framework to mitigate security risks.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to security and safety.
Operational Security Management:
Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security systems, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure prompt and effective incident response.
Manage security budgets and allocate resources efficiently to optimize security operations.
Crisis Management:
Develop and implement crisis management plans for emergency situations, such as natural disasters, security breaches, and other critical incidents.
Lead crisis response efforts and serve as the primary point of contact during emergencies.
Conduct regular drills and training sessions to prepare staff for emergency situations.
Guest and Staff Safety:
Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and staff across all properties.
Develop and implement safety awareness programs for guests and employees.
Address security concerns and incidents promptly and effectively.
Technology and Innovation:
Stay abreast of the latest security technologies and industry trends.
Evaluate and implement innovative security solutions to enhance overall security posture.
Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data and sensitive information.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all security-related activities and incidents.
Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team on security status and initiatives.
Ensure proper documentation of security policies, procedures, and protocols.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 8years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
In-depth knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and crisis management.
Strong understanding of security technologies and systems, including surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful security strategies.
