Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the senior management team at a confidential company in the agricultural industry.
The Finance Manager will work closely with the CEO to oversee the financial health and stability of the company while providing strategic insights to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy and Leadership:
Lead financial planning and analysis efforts, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support overall business objectives.
Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis, cost identification, and revenue/expense analysis.
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
Capital Management:
Manage cash flow to support company operations, optimize liquidity, and allocate funds efficiently.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely collections and payments.
Evaluate and manage capital structure, leading fundraising initiatives to support business goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and professional development.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Audit and Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing strategic internal controls.
Coordinate annual financial audits and manage relationships with external auditors.
Cost Management:
Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to monitor and control expenses, optimizing financial performance across all business units.
Requirements
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance-related discipline; professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is essential. A postgraduate degree is an advantage.
Minimum of ten years’ experience, with at least five years in a senior finance management role within a well-structured corporate organization.
Strong understanding of the agricultural, manufacturing, and wholesale industry is a plus.
Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Experience in the design, implementation, and monitoring of financial systems and processes.
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and corporate finance principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to draw meaningful insights from financial data.
Proficiency in financial management software, ERPs, and MS Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
