Job Title: Driver

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of passengers or materials to and from designated locations.
• The role involves vehicle operation and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable service.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities as a Driver will include but are not limited to:

• Safely operating vehicles entrusted to you, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries of passengers or items. Utilize GPS and navigation tools to avoid traffic and road hazards.
• Provide courteous and professional service to clients. Communicate effectively regarding any delays, issues or challenges.
• Maintaining cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
• Following company policies and procedures related to employee conduct, vehicle usage, safety and maintenance.
• Maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage and other required documentation.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water and tire pressure. Ensure that regular servicing is done and report any vehicle issues immediately.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and behavior at all times, respect the privacy and confidentiality of all clients.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

• SSCE or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a driver.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
• Provision of other driving certifications.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent navigation skills and knowledgeable in the use of GPS.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle all situations calmly and efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods and drive for long distances.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials when required.
• Good vision and hearing to operate vehicles safely.

Other Requirements:

• Punctuality and Reliability.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary.
