Job Summary
The driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of passengers or materials to and from designated locations.
The role involves vehicle operation and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the provision of an efficient and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities as a Driver will include but are not limited to:
Safely operating vehicles entrusted to you, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals and deliveries of passengers or items. Utilize GPS and navigation tools to avoid traffic and road hazards.
Provide courteous and professional service to clients. Communicate effectively regarding any delays, issues or challenges.
Maintaining cleanliness and proper maintenance of assigned vehicles.
Following company policies and procedures related to employee conduct, vehicle usage, safety and maintenance.
Maintaining accurate records of vehicle inspections, mileage and other required documentation.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil, water and tire pressure. Ensure that regular servicing is done and report any vehicle issues immediately.
Maintaining a professional appearance and behavior at all times, respect the privacy and confidentiality of all clients.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
SSCE or equivalent.
Proven experience as a driver.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record with no major accidents or violations.
Provision of other driving certifications.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
Excellent navigation skills and knowledgeable in the use of GPS.
Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle all situations calmly and efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods and drive for long distances.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials when required.
Good vision and hearing to operate vehicles safely.
Other Requirements:
Punctuality and Reliability.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays if necessary.
