The Head of Sales spearheads the sales department, tasked with developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth, leading the sales team towards achieving and exceeding sales targets, and expanding the company's market share.
This role demands a strategic leader adept at navigating the FMCG market dynamics, fostering robust customer relationships, and steering the sales team towards substantial revenue achievements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership:
Formulate comprehensive sales strategies in alignment with Emmanuel Bakeries’ growth objectives.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to adapt strategies accordingly.
Team Management and Development:
Lead and energize the sales team, setting clear objectives and KPIs, while fostering a culture of success and accountability.
Identify training and development needs to enhance team capabilities and performance.
Sales Performance and Targets:
Establish ambitious sales targets, closely monitor team performance, and implement necessary actions to mitigate shortfalls.
Utilize CRM and data analytics tools for sales tracking, optimizing strategies based on performance data.
Customer and Market Engagement:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts and partners to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Expand customer base through targeted strategies, enhancing brand presence and market penetration.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on pricing, product offerings, and market strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business / Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.
A minimum of 7 years experience in sales within the FMCG industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth and leading high-performance teams.
Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales analysis.
Skills:
Expertise in developing and executing successful sales strategies.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional relationship-building and customer service skills.
Proficient in analyzing sales data to inform strategic decisions.
Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
SLA (Service Level Agreement)
Sales Growth: Achieve a year-on-year sales growth of at least 10%, adjusting for market conditions.
Target Achievement: Ensure the sales team meets or exceeds set sales targets in 90% of reporting periods.
CustomerSatisfaction: Maintain a customer satisfaction rate of 95% through quality interactions and effective problem resolution.
Market Expansion: Successfully enter at least two new market segments or territories annually.
TeamPerformance: Implement development programs resulting in at least a 15% improvement in team sales productivity within the first year.
