The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education is a multi-campus University with its main campus at Rumuolumeni Town in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. The other campuses are located at Ndele in Emohua Local Government Area and St. John's Diobu in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State. The institution which is the second University of Education in Nigeria started as a College of Education in June 1971, and was affiliated to the University of Ibadan.

Consequent upon the approval of His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State and Visitor to Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position below:

We require Lecturers who can teach in the following Departments:

• Educational Psychology, Guidance & Counselling
• Special Needs Education
• Early Childhood & Primary Education x Educational Technology
• Educational Technology
• Educational Foundation and Arts Education › Health and Safety
• Health and Safety
• Education
• Human Kinetics and Sport Science
• Educational Management
• Adult Education & Community Development
• Business Education
• Social Science Education Science Education
• Curriculum & Instructional Studies

Requirement

• A candidate must possess a Ph.D in the relevant fields from a recognized University.

Conditions of Service

• All successful candidates will be on probation for two (2) years continuous service after assumption of duty, thereafter they will retire at the age of 65.
• Other conditions are as stated in the Regulations governing staff conditions of service in Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt.
