Job Description
Our client is looking to hire an experienced Head of Sales & Business Development who has 10 years of experience working in the automotive industry.
The role holder will drive strategic sales efforts, generate significant revenue and expand the Aftermarket Products business segment.
He/She has a track record of efficiently matching supply and demand efforts, especially in auto-parts businesses, automotive industries, or marketplace startups across Nigeria or/and Africa.
The right candidate must have a strong Client network base for potential sales and client conversion particularly and be a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Professional to lead our sales efforts in the aftermarket products space.
This includes a demonstrated ability to navigate complex negotiations, cultivate strong business relationships, and close high-value deals.
The role holder will have a proven track record of securing big-ticket transactions with importers and distributors, coupled with extensive experience in leading middle managers to build and manage an efficient sales team.
This position is senior-level and requires a strategic approach to drive sales growth and expand market presence across tyres and auto-parts aftermarket products.

Strategically rollout and monitor operational targets for the sales team that would be a springboard for individual success and revenue growth.
Implement a pre-order sales strategy with our target customers.
Develop comprehensive sales strategies tailored to our aftermarket products segment.
Market Analysis and Innovation:
Conduct market analysis to identify potential customers, segments, and niches for expansion.
Utilize insights to develop innovative products, services, and sales strategies to differentiate from competitors.
Business Development and Expansion:
Identify new business opportunities within the aftermarket products market.
Proactively seek out and establish strategic partnerships to drive sales growth and increase market penetration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with product development teams to provide input on product enhancements and new product launches.
Oversee daily routine modus operandi for the aftermarket teams
Explore customer needs with the aim of matching services with the Customer Value Proposition
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree in Business Administration or a similar field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sales and business development.
Experience in the automotive industry is crucial.
Experience in aftermarket product sales/Procurement/Automotive aftersales is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain relationships with importers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
Experience in implementing and managing efficient sales processes, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
Demonstrated success in a senior sales role and tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnerships over time.
Comprehensive understanding of the automotive aftermarket industry, including trends, regulations, and customer needs.
Strong analytic skills (financial, planning, operational) and reporting.
Efficiency with sales tools like; Salesforce, Google Sheet, Slack, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ERP etc.
