So, our Farm-Farmer School, located in the heart of the over 100-hectare farm affords us the environment to keep trainees in situ while they learn and practice the principles of regenerative agriculture for effective extension service delivery and hand-holding of our regenerative-agriculture-adopting communities. Our Farm-Farmer School is equipped with boarding facilities, a central refectory, demo plots and recreation facilities all sustainably solar powered. We offer trainings for farmers, institutions, policy makers, trainers and extension agents.

Job Title: State Coordinator
Locations: Abuja (FCT), Adamawa, Enugu, Imo, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Ogun and Plateau

Job Purpose / Summary
The State Coordinator will hand on leadership on project delivery in his or her assigned state and implementation in accordance with SCL and global standards. SC will supervise program implementation and staff for state-based implementation.
Also, will serve as the program’s liaison with key stakeholders, including state officials, select institutions, and beneficiaries. SC will ensure the state program is implemented according to approved work plans, meets scheduled deliverables, and realizes stated goals.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure that program goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters
Review program implementation tools (work plan, budget, performance monitoring plan, program audits, and assessments, etc.) to understand funding, procedures, staffing, technical assistance, and allotment of other resources needed for successful implementation of priority activities
Establish and lead the implementation of State work plans, program teams, and standard operating procedures to meet program goals and ensure compliance with federal rules and regulations, SCL policies and procedures, and local laws
Identify and Provide hands on technical training, field support, and appropriate guidance to state staff to achieve program goals
Identify, establish, and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders on program matters
Provide hands on leadership and supervision to the program team, field team, ensuring clarity regarding program priorities, activities, and timelines, as well as the allocation of resources necessary to achieve program objectives
Oversee the development of the program’s periodic technical and financial reports to SCL and other key stakeholders
Maintain effective and constructive communications about the program and SCL to both internal and external stakeholders
Model and encourage effective teamwork, especially to enhance the role and effectiveness of program staff members by being involved
Ensure that all program staff members are fully familiar with and operating in accordance with SCL’s values, quality standards, policies, and program objectives, as well as their individual responsibilities for upholding these standards and policies
Develop an effective communications strategy and team to manage program reports, materials, and outreach activities
Any other duties assigned

Technical Competencies
Personal Characteristics:
Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Science, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or any other related field; Masters is preferred
At least (5) years of relevant, progressively responsible experience is required
Computer Literate, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Proven project management experience, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Strong understanding of regenerative agriculture principles and practices.
Proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
Willingness to travel within the state as required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, government agencies, and NGOs.
Knowledge of local agricultural policies and regulations.
Familiarity with digital tools and platforms for agriculture management and education.
Familiarity with Regenerative Agriculture and all its techniques will be of great advantage
Able to maintain a rigorous focus on project deliverables, indicators, and results, including being able to engage stakeholders to capitalize on any shared efficiencies
Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English, Pidgin English, and local language
Strong leadership skills that include the ability to build effective project teams, the ability to motivate others, delegation, and timely/quality decision-making
Excellent management and communications skills, strong interpersonal skills to ensure internal coherence among diverse team members.
