Job Description
We are seeking an Executive Director to manage and lead both human and capital resources of the organisation towards the achievement of business goals and objectives particularly as it relates to the growth in technology and eChannels.
The suitable candidate will provide strategic leadership in line with the Vision and Mission of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
Business Oversight:
Carry out regular SWOT analysis to mitigate any potential risks through industry and market changes
Work closely with the Managing Director on all operational and business activities to drive productivity and achieve the desired results which are consistent with the overall strategy of the bank
Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions/recommendations
Implement initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs while maintaining quality output
Direct growth across the technology and eChannel aspect of the business with a focus on maintaining commercial returns and ensuring that future markets are developed and resourced
Business Development & Customer Service Excellence:
Develop and implement marketing strategies aimed at attracting new businesses and retaining existing customers
Develop and implement the annual budget and marketing plan to increase market presence, market share and to drive revenue growth
Develop and maintain relationships with major customers, prospects, bankers and investors
Oversee the implementation of customer service standards and best practices
Oversee and provide strategic input into product development, product reviews and campaigns
People Management and Operational Performance:
Support the Managing Director to lead, manage, mentor and develop a strong management team and workforce
Promote a positive workplace environment, rewarding performance, promoting job satisfaction and employee engagement
Provide strategic input and direction for the development of performance targets, including on-going monitoring to ensure achievement of set targets
Ensure cohesion in job processes in order to align output with strategic goals
Foster a positive workplace culture that supports the core values of the bank
Facilitate regular business performance review in order to measure performance achievements and motivate the workforce towards budget achievement
Ensures compliance with key ratios and achievement of positive reports during and after regulatory examinations and annual audit
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and guidelines, legal and statutory requirements and all other regulations which may affect the organisation
Responsible for business growth and operational soundness across all branches
Business Strategy:
Identify and prioritize issues/opportunities on an on-going basis and recommend strategies to the Board to drive shareholder value and increase the overall financial position of the company
Define strategic initiatives to position the business in a sustainable growth path and drive the implementation of all of the Bank’s eChannels and technology infrastructure.
Manage relationships with Investors, regulatory agencies, creditors and other partner institutions.
Developing high quality business strategies and ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
Build trust relations with key partners and stakeholders and act as a point of contact for important shareholders, bankers, investors, industry executives and other influential bodies on a regular basis
Ensure adequate information flow and communication with and to the board and engender cordial relationship with the Managing Director to achieve the Bank’s corporate goal.
Other duties or responsibilities that may be reasonably required from time to time and in relation to services provided by the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in IT / Computer Science / Business / Finance / Economics or related fields
An M.Sc., MBA or other relevant Post-Graduate Qualification
Evidence of completion/ exemption of/from NYSC
Professional qualification
Evidence of completion of the Microfinance Certification program
ExperienceMinimum of 10 years’ experience in banking across Technology, business development, finance,
IT Compliance and risk management departments
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a senior management level in a reputable Microfinance bank.

Effective communication skills
Understanding of Business and Industry Processes:
Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the microfinance industry
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, presentation skills and interaction skills with Managing Director, Board of directors, staff, regulators and customers.
