Job Title: Agricultural Science Teacher

Job Description:
An Agricultural Science teacher is responsible for instructing and guiding students in the principles and practices of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and related scientific disciplines.
They develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering the core areas of agricultural science, to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for careers in the Agricultural industry or further education in itsfield.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans covering agricultural science topics, such as crop production, livestock management, soil science, agricultural economics, and environmental sustainability.
Facilitate hands-on learning activities, experiments, and projects to reinforce the theoretical concepts taught in the classroom.
Assess students' progress and provide regular feedback to help them improve their understanding and practical skills.
Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues.
Collaborate with other faculty members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and best practices in agricultural science education.
Contribute to the overall development and enrichment of the school community, including participating in extracurricular activities related to agriculture.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Science / Agronomy / Animal Science, or a related field.
Teaching certification. E.g. B. Ed, NCE, PGDE.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience teaching agricultural science or a related subject at the secondary or post-secondary level.
Demonstrated success in creating and implementing effective lesson plans and assessments.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of the core areas of agricultural science, including crop production, livestock management, soil science, and agricultural economics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and effectively convey information.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop innovative lesson plans and activities.
Proficiency in usingrelevant tools, equipment, and technology used in agricultural science.
Patience and adaptability to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
Other Requirements:
