Overview
We are seeking a highly reliable and experienced On-Call Driver Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing logistics services on a need-basis to cater the diverse needs of our staff member.
As a Driver Consultant, you will be expected to demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of safety regulations, knowledge of the Tarren/locations (where the project activities are being implemented) and an exceptional display of professionalism.
The driver is expected to resume of the 5th of July with the tasks of cleaning and fueling the project car and as well ensures the engine oil is in order.
Responsibilities
Logistical Services:
Provide on-call transportation services to staff based on their specific needs and schedules.
Safely and efficiently operate various types of vehicles, including but not limited to cars, vans, or specialty vehicles.
Pick-up JSI staff from the Airport or specified location (s) and drop off at any other location/office as requested
Ensure movement log sheet is adequately signed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers, pedestrians, and other road users.
Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation.
Customer Service:
Interact professionally and courteously with staff members, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
Provide assistance to staff with boarding, luggage, and other needs as required.
Communicate effectively and promptly with staff members to coordinate schedules and address any concerns.
Problem Solving:
Handle unforeseen circumstances such as traffic delays, route changes, or vehicle issues in a calm and efficient manner.
Resolve staff complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Submit necessary reports and documentation as required by the company.
Qualifications
5 to 10 years of professional driving experience.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with local roadways and traffic patterns.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a similar on-call or consulting role.
Defensive driving or safety training certification.
Familiarity with Google Map/GPS navigation systems.
