Responsibilities
Plans, directs, supervises, and controls all business, technical, fiscal, administrative, and marketing and business development functions of the departments reporting to this position. Plans and defines strategic and financial goals, determines the resources required to achieve them, and directs the effort to acquire and retain those resources. Participates in the development of marketing strategies and in the preparation and review of major proposals and lump sum bids.
Monitors all financial information and or report of PMC, engineering, procurement departments. At end of each period, reviews the financial performance of each project, the overhead performance reports, and the accounts receivable aging report to ensure accuracy and follow-up as needed.
Participates in bid/no bid decision on major procurement activities and on fixed price contracts as related to departments reporting to this position. Participates in the preparation and/or review of all major proposals and bids; reviews and approves pricing; functions as the Principal-In-Charge on all major project proposals.
Prepares annual operating and capital budget requests and projections for review by the Executive Director Operations (Location Manager) for the departments/groups reporting to this position.
Establishes annual salary increase budget within the constraints of corporate policy and under the direction of Executive Director Operations; recommends all salary actions; monitors actual increases against budgeted increase throughout the year; approves all hiring and terminations; reviews and signs off on all annual performance reviews for the departments reporting to this position.
Ensures that corporate Human Resources policies and procedures are followed. Makes recommendations for signing all teaming agreements; contracts and other documents binding the company
Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate or as assigned by Executive Director Operations.
Requirements
Typically 15+ years of relevant experience supervisory and/or project management including technical and supervisory experience is preferred. Typically manages multiple, complex projects or programs.
Ten plus years of managing projects in oil and gas industry.
BA/BS degree in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
The ability to effectively communicate and present complex program proposals and reports to executive level management, and customers is critical. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural and possibly multi-national environments. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to (input here the Business Unit and specific areas).
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
