QuickCheck is seeking to hire a 'hands-on' data scientist.

Responsibilities
Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical models to develop predictive models for credit risk assessment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly credit risk management and business analysts, to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
Perform root-cause and ad-hoc analyses of large datasets to understand user performance, generate key insights for relevant stakeholders, and drive data-informed decisions related to credit risk factors and customer behavior
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and relationships within datasets
Clean, preprocess, and transform data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and suitability for model development and analysis
Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and implement model monitoring procedures to ensure ongoing effectiveness
Continuously work on improving methodological choices for the models and be able to clearly communicate its rationale and impact to internal and external stakeholders
Stay abreast of advancements in data science methodologies, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into projects where applicable
Give input to senior management and business based on data analysis and previous experience
Deliver great presentations and analysis with tools like PowerPoint, Power BI or similar
Be a good communicator and collaborate well with local, regional and global stakeholders
Requirements
Degree in a quantitative field or software development field, including but not limited to mathematics, economics, statistics, data science, software engineering, computer science or similar
5+ years of relevant work experience in data science
Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS or similar
Experience working with large datasets and developing predictive models
Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate large and complex data into actionable insights
Experience driving deliveries, ideally in an agile environment
Knowledge of credit risk is an advantage
Understanding of technologies and IT solutions used for data processing and analysis
