Job Title: Senior Legal Manager (Manufacturing)

Job Summary
The Senior Legal Manager will oversee the legal aspects of the business, ensuring that the company's operations are conducted within the legal framework and in accordance with relevant regulations.
This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and associated legal issues, including regulatory compliance, contract management, intellectual property, and labor law.
The ideal candidate will provide strategic legal advice to senior management and work closely with various departments to mitigate legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:
Provide expert legal advice to senior management on a broad range of issues including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, labor laws, and intellectual property.
Advise on legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including supply agreements, service contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and company policies.
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the manufacturing industry and ensure the company remains compliant.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Dispute Resolution:
Manage litigation and disputes involving the company, including coordination with external legal counsel.
Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary.
Corporate Governance:
Support corporate governance activities including board meetings, corporate filings, and maintenance of corporate records.
Ensure compliance with corporate laws and regulations.
Intellectual Property:
Oversee the protection of the company’s intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
Manage intellectual property disputes and enforcement actions.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to employees on legal issues and compliance matters.
Develop and deliver legal training programs for staff and management.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments such as HR, Finance, Operations, and R&D to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business processes.
Act as a liaison with external legal counsel and other external parties.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s).
Experience:
Must have 10-12 years of legal experience, with significant exposure to the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and legal issues related to the industry.
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
