Job Title: Legal and Compliance Executive
Location: Lagos

Responsibilities
Legal compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the tech industry.
Board and Management support: Organize board and management meetings, prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and manage communication with stakeholders.
Contract management: Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company's interests. Monitors contract performance and compliance and recommends improvements and innovations to oversight of contract process
Company filings: Prepare and file necessary documents, such as annual reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings.
Corporate governance: Maintain statutory registers, update corporate records, and ensure proper documentation of board decisions and company policies.
Board Management: Experience in managing board and management activities
Risk management: Identify potential legal and compliance risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
Corporate communication: Facilitate effective communication between the board, management, and external stakeholders.
Corporate secretarial duties: Provide administrative support, minutes of meetings, maintain company records, and ensure adherence to corporate governance best practices.

Qualifications
First Degree in Law.
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience
Industry experience will be an added advantage. (Technology)
A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
A certification from Institute Of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Of Nigeria (Icsan) will be an added advantage
Must have attended Law School
Board Management Experience will be added advantage

Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and coordinate with various departments within the company.
